The Department of Information and Communications of the Border Service of the State Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that as of 18:20 on September 17, 2022, the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border in the Chon-Alai district of Osh region is again characterized as tense.

Having once again violated all agreements on a ceasefire and the withdrawal of troops and forces from the border line, the Tajik side opened fire from small arms and group weapons at the border guards of the Karamyk outpost of the Border Service of the State Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The personnel of the Border Service units of the State Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, stationed in the Chon-Alai district, conducts activities aimed at stabilizing the situation in the following directions.
