The Information and Communications Department of the State Border Guard Service of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that in connection with the emerging situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border in Chon-Alay district of Osh province, negotiations took place between the First Deputy Chairman — Director of the Border Guard Service of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General Ularbek Sharshoyev and Colonel General Rajabali Rahmonali, commander of the Border Guard Troops of the SCNS of the RT.
As a result of negotiations, at 2.20 p.m., the Tajik side stopped firing mortars and artillery at Kyrgyz border guard positions in the villages of Teshik-Tash, Karamyk and Karool-Doboh of Chon-Alay district in Osh province.
The State Border Guard Service of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to carry out activities aimed at stabilising the situation in the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border.
