On September 17, 2022, a phone conversation took place between Kyrgyz Minister Zh. Kulubaev and the Chairman of the Executive Committee — Executive Secretary S.Lebedev.
The parties discussed the current situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.
The Kyrgyz side provided up-to-date information on the current state of affairs and emphasized the commitment of the Kyrgyz Republic to de-escalation and an unchanged position on resolving the situation exclusively through political and diplomatic means.
For his part, S.Lebedev noted that the ongoing events on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border cause serious concern, and also said that he would hold consultations with the CIS structures on this issue.
S. Lebedev expressed his sincere words of condolences in connection with the death of military personnel and civilians in Kyrgyzstan, and also expressed the hope that through joint efforts, ways will be found to resolve the conflict as soon as possible.
